Cala Gran Park Review - 2009 

Changes from last season - pictures available of these changes
The main change from last season is the new 9 hole mini golf course, new outdoor play area and patio areas complete with access from the aquabar and owners lounge. This is also complete with new white building facia. In addition to these changes there has also been a change around of the aquabar with the access to the arcade direct from the aquabar being blocked off. This is now where the stage, dj box and big screen are now placed. The caravans what were placed at the back of the park and to the side of the complex have been removed and is now part of the golf area. The carvery, breakfast, curry and chinese nights etc are now being served from the new food bar which has been moved to outside the old swimming pool doors. However these are still paid for the same place.

On the park itself, a new area of the park has been redeveloped to match the rest of the development within the area of the park. This area of the park has been redeveloped over the past few years in stages. Each plot in this area consists of concrete base, own individual parking space, bigger gardens, piped gas, telephone access etc. This is supposed to be happening through out the park over a number of years however progress has slowed down. (each stage happens outside of the season).

Funstars of 2009
The funstars for the 2009 season are
entertainments manager Chris Willis, vocalists Matt Squire aka Shrek, Rebecca Parry aka Chavvy Bex and Ellie Chapman aka Elle, dancers Kayleigh Thomson aka Scouse Mouse, Alison Dunne aka Ali D and Alison Edwards aka Ali E and general/magician Peter Walker aka Magic Pete.

Vocalist Rebecca Parry is also the hotspot singer for the region and provides a variety of songs ranging from different decades. Ellie Chapman is also female vocalist who has came through her stage fright to performing well in the shows both as vocalist and dancer. Matt Squire is the male vocalist, who also does his own show with a variety of hits. General funstar Peter also provides a magic show during the week where Alison E is used a his assistant. The showteam consisting of Becky, Matt, Elle, Kayleigh, Alison D and Alison E perform 3 shows. These are In The Mix(returning from 2008), Sunset Strip and Summer High.
This years shows are very well performed with high energy shown from dancers and fantastic vocals from the vocalists.

Non-Entertainments teams of 2009
Other teams within the Cala Gran team include the arcade, bar, shop, swimming pool, sales, reception and security. These people are all willing to help and most of them provide a good chat when u want and will sort any form of problem out from minor to serious. They keep the place tidy, clean and also help towards the providing the nice and friendly environment that Cala Gran is known for.

All in all, i'd say that Cala Gran has been a good year with some very good improvements from last season. However there are still a few improvements which could be made and hopefully will be made next year.
