Cala Gran Park Review 2010

Changes from last season
There have been a few changes to complex for the 2010 season. Firstly, the old toilets what got converted into the arcade stock room a few years ago has been re-opened as customer toilets. The chip shop has been extended and converted into Papa Johns complete with the branding and painting. The showbar has also had a lick of paint and has been converted into blue and red instead of the old orange and purple. The outside shop has been converted into a Spar however the major redevelopment in the complex area for the 2010 season is the transformation of the Aquabar and renaming it the 'Mash and Barrel'. Although the main area where the big screen is hasn't been touched too much...the swimming pool side of the Aquabar and the bar and meal serving area has had a complete transformation for the better. This includes the usual mash and barrel layout and colours of the bar and also food is now ordered from the bar. Meals such as breakfasts, curry nights, carvery etc. are now dished out from the new serving area which is situated in a very similar area to where the old cafe area. The seat and tables in this area has also been changed to leather seating including a number of sofas situated in different areas around the newly changed area.

On the park itself, a new area of the park has been redeveloped to match the rest of the development within the area of the park. The 2010 development has seen the completion of half of the park. This area of the park has been redeveloped over the past few years in stages. Each plot in this area consists of concrete base, own individual parking space, bigger gardens, piped gas, telephone access etc. This is supposed to be happening through out the park over a number of years however progress has slowed down. (each stage happens outside of the season).

Funstars of 2010
The Funstars for the 2010 season are entertainments manager Lisa Shackel, assistant Manager/Dance Captain Stevie Walton, vocalists Dane Foxx and Kerrie Donohue, dancers Sean Nolan and Cheryl Moss and generals Vicki Knox and Carl Libby.

The showteam this season is probably the best showteam we have had in a few years. The
singers and dancers are consistently excellent and full of enthusiasm. The Funstars as a whole never stop entertaining and always have a smile on there face. The Funstars have a
good stage manner and never fail to cause a laugh within the audience and always ceasing the opportunity to put a smile on guests and owners faces. They are also very similar off stage. The Funstars of 2010 will also go out of their way to help with any queries or questions.

Non-Entertainments teams of 2010
Other teams within the Cala Gran team include the arcade, papa johns, bar, shop, swimming
pool, sales, reception and security. These people are all willing to help and will help out with any problems or questions in which anyone may have. They are also friendly and provide
a good service to help improve your stay at Cala Gran.

I can honestly say that the 2010 season has so far been a very good season and I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the season.
