Combe Haven May/June 2006
Here we go, A9 takes in a big breath...
We visited Combe Haven for a weeks holiday last week. It's a huge drive from Manchester, but after visiting last year, we knew it would be worth the journey. Last year the team all around the park were excellent, but the Funstars were something else and knowing most of the team were returning, we just had to visit this year.
We found that this year the staff all round the park, from Catering to Security were much improved, everyone was just so friendly and if you are made to feel so welcome on holiday, it's no wonder you enjoy it all so much. The Burger king staff were really good and service was quick, Oasis was even quicker (I think the chef either had the table bugged or is a mind reader), the speed at which the food came out and it was lovely too. Also the people clearing the tables were on the ball. No sooner had we finished, than the plates had gone. Service with a smile too, that really made a difference.
We met the Lifeguards who were all great too and Security were so friendly throughout the week. Dan standing out as the main member of Security for us, he was wicked. The Bar Staff again were all so friendly and by the end of the week, you knew them all by name. They were more like new friends than Bar Staff and it was the same with pretty much all the staff. We really think they deserve a huge pat on the back for all their hard work throughout the week. Everyone we met were just so good at there jobs and are a credit to the company.
Now onto the Entertainment's Team:
We actually have visited over twenty Haven parks in the last few years and are visiting more this year too. We have to say that the Funstar Team at Combe Haven are the best we have seen in a long time. All of the returning Funstars were even better than last year. Hard as that was for us to believe and new Funstar Jenni was no exception, she fitted right in with them all. The team led by Tommy and Emma show guests just how good entertainment can be. We have seen the standard entertainment at most parks, but the addition of the Teams own styles makes Combe Haven stand out by far. Tommy makes you laugh no matter what as does Emma.
'Deal or No Deal' is amazing. Tommy made the show so good in a lively Showbar, I think all parks should do that as a show, it was wicked. We also loved Carla and Lauren in their show 'Twice As Nice', so funny and so entertaining.
Sarah, now red shirt presenter was superb in her new roll in Showbar. We spent quite a lot of time in there as she was just so good at the job.
Rach is always bonkers in purely a good way, she's so lovely too and Jenny just fitted right in with the team.
Any problems...Yep... First one: There should be a warning saying that you might just split your sides laughing. Secondly, people should be warned to go to the toilet before the team come out, because if you need to go and they start you off laughing, you could easily have an accident, we nearly did. Thirdly, when do the smiling effects wear off? We have been back a few days now and we still can't stop smiling thinking of the great time we had there.
IN ALL, A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE AT COMBE HAVEN FOR GIVING US THE BEST HOLIDAY IN SUCH A LONG TIME. WE HAVE POSTED OUR COMMENTS ON OUR WEBSITE WHICH ARE ALL GOOD. YOU ALL DESERVE A HUGE PAT ON THE BACK FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK THAT MADE OURS AND THOUSANDS OF OTHER HOLIDAY MAKERS HAVE THE TIME OF THEIR LIVES
THANK YOU ALL !
